The birch tree is known as a pioneer plant species. This means that it is the first to grow following a fire or other destructive event.  We choose a birch leaf to represent the knowledge that life can be and is beautiful following a destructive or catastrophic event. It is the symbol of new beginnings, regeneration, hope, and the promise of what is to come. The Birch tree can grow quickly right after a fire or clearing of a forest or after a glacier has receded.  It is a symbolism of determination and overcoming difficulties.  

The white birch indicates cleanliness.  This tree symbolizes new life and new love.  The bark of the Birch tree can be used to ignite fires even if the birch bark is damp.  The Birch tree symbolizes stability and initiation. The tree carries ancient wisdom and yet appears forever young. Diana designed the logo's shape to be both the birch leaf and the third eye of InSight. We write InSight for the inward seeing necessary for true healing. Our line of phytotherapeutics adds the outline of Mount Shasta to the logo.
